The Silent Protector

September 24th, 2008 by pureraver

Not parodying Batman here. But read on if you wish to know.

Males were known to be the type of people of are silent. They hide their emotions to the females around them and they never really talk much about what really happens to them and how they feel. But ironically speaking, males are more associated to having the anger emotion within them. Ironic as in that’s the only emotion that should not be associated too kindly with, in any human being.

So, the problem here is, how do they handle it?

Just as what you would figure it, by getting angry. It’s the first step, but not done normally. In the current generation, bits and morsels of people do this. But this has also changed. Since only too few of males do it, what do they resort to?

Buddies.

Be it male or female, they talk it out. +1 for feminism indeed. it is hardly a doubt that the men, who have problems with women, or any other emotion that they feel or whatever, is now being vented on other men. With this, males have functioned themselves to be more feminine. Wanting only to vent out their frustrations and not solve anything anymore. besides, when was the last time you cooked up something on your own and solved it with? Pretty much less likely.

So, are men failed to doom while being more feminine over time? Not really. Unless for those who let themselves be dominated by the women around them, then not at all in fact. It’s not a matter of dignity, it’s how you are as the silent protector. I thought males are the types that brings the problems to their its knees? As the old rule applies, if there’s a problem, shove it. Take it with you and punish it like hell. What more could you ask for?

You got a problem, bring it out. if the lady is bitchy and merajuk about it, let it be. That’s probably the most efficient way to bring the lady to speak. Trust me, it’s not easy to ask her to talk. She’ll just do it slowly later as you keep on being with her. And once it’s out, take it slow and maturely. Expect screams, but don’t get emotional (i’m working on that too)

So, the males who don’t want to resort to feminism, be more rational and quiet. We are silent becase we’re made to be silent. but we speak when needed. Don’t lose your balls. Keep em where they belong.

Old Flames Die Hard

September 16th, 2008 by pureraver

Certain days u feel that grudges need to be solved. Certain you feel that people need to be thinking of what sort of things need to be sorted. I believe if you have a flame that you need put out, you get the fire extinguisher asap and just flush it up.

I wish I could finish my GTA soon. It’s taking a toll on me. Actually, i don’t believe I would finish it anytime soon. I actually sank playing FF12 far too long already, almost nearing 50 hours of good time since I got the game. (yes, well over 2 years) And now the DVD broke. So gotta get a new one indeed.

I guess games that brings forth lots of play time is what gives it more value. You could tell yourself that you bought a console just to play 5 or 6 games through it’s life span, and still be satisfied with the purchase. And that’s the best part.

I think i should say Piracy should be snuffed away. We can just always rely on cheap goods all the time in an illegal way. If it’s expensive, find out why. That’s pretty much it. RM5 doesn’t really justify the value of a 1 year long game actually. In fact, it could take much more.

So, yeah, stop piracy. Go for the real deal. Intellectual properties are always the way to go.

“Oh, itu negara kafir.”

September 11th, 2008 by pureraver

I quoted this from Dina Zaman’s latest article from The Star. And besides, it’s self explantory isn’t it?

Just to be sure, it means very much that this is the culture that is too much prevalent in Malaysia. Specifically, to a certain race (Aiya, I no need to say who lah. haha)

In a prospect, the thing here is do we find an excuse to show we are weak or we just don’t want to say we are being big and mighty? It is very much viable and evident isn’t it. So, why are we giving excuses when we are not supposed to? It definitely goes back to me saying about doing something, but always finding excuses to evade the work.

What’s so hard about doing something? What’s so hard about improving one’s self? Why is there jealousy? Why make words out of people and incite hatred and fitnah?  Why be pointless?

That’s for you to think.

A point of races

September 9th, 2008 by pureraver

In this life, we tell ourselves to make the most of out things. We make our days go by working hard and long to earn money to be successful in life. NO. I don’t believe anymore that some people are in the notion of only surviving. They only choose not to have all the wealth in the world, but just to keep it in rainy days as an elimination towards risk.

But the real race is what bothers me. There was a time before that I wanted to submit a contest entry form from  The Star. I met the aunty responsible for it. I asked her politely if the entry form submitted was still entitled to the free gift. She said yes, but there was a catch actually. The aunty (which I don’t believe I need to say the race) was lamenting how another specific race was always seen sending the entry form to her and kept asking her for the free gift, that she decided to not give them anymore, and limit only the last few, to her specific race. Upon hearing that, I said to her that her act is wrong and why should she do that in the first place. She got annoyed and said take it or leave it.

Now, I understand work is tough. It’s life. We all are having it tough. But, why do that? Why be so stingy towards others? Why must you choose when u are taught to be fair? Especially, to everyone? Is it pride? Is it envy? Is it because we are superior?

I noe not of what people think. Considering I’ve encountered many other racial spats around me. The advantage of being a mix of two races taught me sumthing beautiful in life. Don’t think others don’t understand what u understand solely for u. The world is too vast now for all that to not happen anymore.

Will I ever see a brighter future? Time will tell.

The eh in meh

September 8th, 2008 by pureraver

Ladies and gentlemen at 16th September, we will be having a turnover as the opposition think it might happen. As for me, it’s stupid.

There’s no point to revert to this tactic. Just prove yourself worthy. There really is no problem if you want to be PM or something. just work hard NOW and prove that your worht it. Then, we’ll give you the money you deserved.

So here’s the thing, not that I support the Government nor the Opposition. But you both need to do 1 thing, WORK! Stop digging graves, digging skeletons and just work.

I know there are some who want to work for the people. And I salute you. So just stay where you are, and work.

We’re all more thankful if you do so.

A little freakish

September 3rd, 2008 by pureraver

There are speculation on that September 16th date. Now, 45 years ago, on that very date this country was named Malaysia. In 2008, the leader of the Opposition is saying that on this day the Government will change hands. Now, that’s not really much a problem, the thing is, its how the people are perceiving it.

I’ve read a bunch of articles regarding what people are holding on this very date. Personally, I believe that on that very date, IF, it happens, this country’s economy will go through a downfall. No kidding. If Anwar, can set everything right in 1 day, I’m pretty sure the economy will go into a stable motion, or it will boost up. Thing is, how likely is that going to happen considering some companies who are, well, lets say too dependant.

So what if the economy goes falling? Simple, the Indonesians take over. I’m not saying that this as in war terms, but more to indirect warfare. Expect more foreign labors to come from everywhere possible. The cheaper they can be, the better. So, is there a cure to bring it up back without having to resort to a take over from the masses? There is.

The Sendiri Boleh attitude as explained by Icapital.

Now, in Bolehland, the constant shouts of Malaysia Boleh, is just that. We can. Of course we can, but do we do? Nope. Well, majority of us that is. When I was growing, the Thomas Cup victory showed so many kids taking up badminton as their preferred sport. And that lasted for quite a while. Then, it faded and completely dried out. Why? because we didn’t win much anymore. We just tag along for the fun it brought.

Now, with Sendiri Boleh attitude, i think we can give into having a lot of ways to make us all more cheerful and more united. That and a more prosper economy. But with an attitude of money talks and money rules, it goes to show this is very tough. We have tax avoiders, we have conmen to name a few reasons. And just like other countries, of course they do have the same. The problem here is, the ratio of those people compared to the real people who do business and pay taxes, are too small of a gap compared to other developed places. besides, why choose to be legit when u can make money much faster by being illegal?

To have a stable economy, you’d need a stable country in political terms. When it tumbles, all of us do tumble too. Obviously if the Opposition screws up, the current Government will come back, but what happens after that is for you to ponder. What I’m hoping for is everyone do something. Sendiri Boleh, when you know you Boleh. Don’t ask for Malaysia Boleh, let them bolehkan themselves. Sendiri Boleh? Then make it Boleh.

the inheritance

August 20th, 2008 by pureraver

It is hard to deny that certain people are meant for certain things in their life. However they may choose in their courses of life shows how great they may be in this world and how low may they be. As for me, it’s another case of another whole lot of thing going on once more.

I have an inheritance, a legacy. A big one by the age of 20 years. My father’s business. It does not seem proper in anyway to give this to my sister, because she is to be wedded to another man. As for me, is it a choice? Or, is it a God given right to me? Just coming to the age of 21, I’m already given a whole lot of big choices and decisions to make. I shouldn’t even have to say I guess it’s time for me to grow up. There never was a defining age for it. It could just happen to you at any time it wants to in that certain branch of life.

20 years have passed and my father have worked to bring up our family. The quirky thing here is, is it tiring? It doesn’t seem so. I never actually asked him why is it that he wants to do this. Why is it that he gave up his position as a bank manager in a bank and ended up as a hawker. Perhaps through my industrial training, I’ve already understood. Through the numbers of meetings that I went through, i have understood. Through the paperwork, the stacks, the printings, the applications and the programs I’ve gone through, I have understood it well enough. This isn’t stressful, this isn’t a dead end job, this is slavery.

Most of the people in this world don’t realize that they are given choices to choose from. Yet, they choose to remain where they are. Certain people choose to live a much happier life than they were before, preventing hair loss to begin with. Others lead punishing lives. It Isn’t to say stressful, yet it is something for us to call as slavery to life. Not to God. Certain people find comfort doing certain things, so do I. I’ve found my comfort zone when I was growing up.

There were few people who knew me as my father’s helper. During the Ramadhan month, I used to help him a lot with the business. From helping out with the Soy Milk, to packing and readying syrup packs, it is only now that these memories become more clear to me, like the back of my hand. When i was still single, you couldn’t imagine how I flirted, in a business manner, with the ladies. I was young and lonely in the past, of course I had to pull in some moves. But from there, I actually learned hospitality, and providing a service to the masses. Not only am I able to smile at my father’s customers, I can be happy with them, joke with them, and meet new people everyday. I know the times when my father did the Putu Perak, he also slipped in some conversations to make the wait feel like they never had to. he made them feel at home.

My gf told me, I was made for the business2 kind of thing. I do. I am. So, why did I go to get a degree then? Well, it was to be a bank manager. No kidding. And that, was thanks to my father who quitted his job. And he told me, that I shouldn’t be a bank manager, I should go higher than that. if bapak jadi pengurus, anak kena lah jadi pengarah. That was the quote the older people used to use. but along the way, I met with people. I met with people who aspired to be great, are great, or just following the American frat boy sort of life. I met with lecturers who couldn’t even do squat to redefine what they teach, and I met the best lecturer in my life that thought me some of the greatest lessons in my life. He liberated me from being who I am. And who I wanted to be. DIfferent.

I never had the opportunity of taking on some of the biggest choices in my life. Seems like right as the age is coming, I’m already given with these choices. What do you think I should do? What you have thought about? Most of us don’t have a choice, and most of us also have to start down low. For a person who is already given an opportunity to be high up, would you have passed it up?

Take your time, ponder it carefully. The best of life is yet to begin.

Brag It Up

August 7th, 2008 by pureraver

Is it a trend among youngsters nowadays? Holy crap, I just said that. I’m not old! I’m still an adolescent! :P

Ok on a serious note, it seems to me that kids , and some folks a little younger than my current age, seem to like to brag about something new in their lives. In the old days, it used to be money, cars, chicks, jewelry, that stuff. But now, sex is included.

Owh and don’t be mistaken either, its not just the men are bragging about this, the women are doing so too. Wait, scrap that. Due to their  "immaturity", I’ll refer them as boys and girls. The point here is, what’s there to brag?

If ur a muslim, u wud noe well enough that this matter is a serious. Sex before marriage could really land u in a whole lot of fire, from every part of the world and beyond. For other races, well, sexual gratification is in ur own mind and you have to discover it yourself why sex is still needed to be bragged. I even feel that at a certain extent, boys and girls could be shouting "Oy orang2 kampung! Aku baru jer main ngan pompuan/laki secara haram!"

Ah, the classic rendition of I got laid in malay. I wonder how does the language say it. So, what are we going to do? In bolehland, we blame porn. No kidding. Then peer pressure, then bla bla bla. The reality here is, what’s going on in the mind of that person? If the person was sane enough to think of the proceedings in life, sex wouldn’t have to be bragged about. Its intimate, a gift that God provided to all of us to share it with that special someone, and that means the partner that you wedded with.

It wouldn’t be awkward if a married couple announced to themselves that the other just got laid, cuz its intimacy. its a story that both partners can share and smile about. but the weird part is, it goes horribly wrong when u tell ur friends that. Including how detailed u did it. I remember in my religion that telling others about u having sex with ur husband or wife is already sinful enough. So, the question here still stands as why brag?

Is it because you did the impossible and defied God? Is it because you could be more popular now after knowing you’re not a virgin? Is it because you get money and respect out of the brag? Or just idle and small talk?

Whatever these small boys and girls do, well, they had better find a reason why fast. Immaturity is not ur excuse to say u did it, but rather ur lack of thinking and rationality brings this matter bigger. Those who’ve done it have probably lost the single one chance to see for urself how intimate one night would’ve been, when you both don’t know how it felt to be together for the first time on that very first night.

Put ur thinking caps on people.

The E3 2008 debacle

July 17th, 2008 by pureraver

The 3 big powers have ended their conferences. Its all done, and we’re now on the way through the daily E3 shows for the next few days. So after a ton of news, dissapointing and truly shocking, its now time to give a wrap up for the 3 conferences.

Overall, my opinion for the Microsoft front, was dissapointing. To be honest, looking at Avatars, I can only say it is a complete rip off. Lips? I cue Singstar. There is seriously nothing that I find is original in this front. And then there’s the FF13 shocker. its fine though. Really it is, and to the Sony fanboys at the states about it, you should really take it in a bigger prospect, I’ll explain later.

For Nintendo’s front, fanboys are not cheering at all. neither are fans. Wii Sports resort is nice, so is Wii Music, but honestly, this is too much original that the fans want their franchises in. In an honest note, the boys would want to have their new Mario (Again in fact). But the best part somehow comes days later after the announcements. Pikmin is coming. Dead Rising has so far been confirmed at the Jap side. So I do expect lots more to come. I do wish they said something about Disaster or Project Hammer. In fact, where the heck is Mad World?

For Sony, actually, I do believe they perform the best this year. Sony took it for us, despite lots of delays on Home, yet I find the Little Big Planet presentation to be nifty and cute. The good thing was an increase on HDD space, at $399. At double storage, they got it right. Yet, sad news is that the original BC able 80GB, will also be discontinued. So, find the MGS 4 limited edition one fast before they all run out. it seems somehow that even after the calamity going on in the FF13 shocker, the Sony would probably clinch this one and make themselves the best.

So, to put it into prospect, the battle now is no longer on the exclusitivity between the PS3 and the 360, but it is now a war of nations. No kidding. the 360 is already dead at Japan, so it wasn’t surprising to know that the 360 version of FF13 won’t be playable there. Yet after seeing how Square-Enix might have to compress lots of things for the 360 version, its safe to say that the PS3 guys will still get the whole cake to eat on. The emphasis is still on the PS3, so fanboys shouldn’t have to worry. Yet I like the fact that 360 is also getting 13, but maybe perhaps on a lower scale of things. The winner of this whole war will only be the nation that sold the most copies of games, not the version. Version doesn’t seem to matter anymore, only the people who want the game will go at it.

Sounds like a healthy war, that have dragged to be a war of nations. may the best front win. owh, and Nintendo, you still made my day. "leave it to me" by Shigeru Miyamoto is classic. :D
